Venerable Chodron of Sravasti Abbey talks about the importance of making friends with ourselves while on retreat. She mentions that during these quiet periods, we usually see things and qualities about ourselves that we might not enjoy, but often forget to reflect on our good qualities. She gives advice about how to have a successful retreat and how to bring that understanding into our everyday lives.
